How to enhance abrasion resistance of interior wall of a hydraulic cylinder?

- Feb 09, 2022-

A hydraulic cylinder consists of cylinder barrel, piston and piston rod. As time goes, some problems may appear during working. When facing such problems, we need have some knowledge of solution. At one end, of the cylinder is an exhaust vent. The interior wall of the cylinder and precision processing of surface of piston rod matters much. During processing, straightness is a challenge, especially under high-speed motion. One factor causing low velocity of a hydraulic cylinder is uneven velocity of return of the piston rod stretching in the tunnel, usually with shock and abnormal noise, which results in shock of the whole hydraulic cylinder system.

A cylinder can stretch out and draw back freely. Still further, it is conditioned to working environment of instant high temperature, pressure and strike. It can be manufactured according to demand in standard shape of circular, cone or pharos. Connection at the two ends can be by way of hoop, flange (PVC or metal) and bond. By forming of rolling, a cold working layer can be formed in the surface, which can decline decline elastic and plastic deformation of the contact surface of the grinding pair, furthermore enhancing abrasion resistance of the interior wall as well as avoiding burning caused by grinding.
