The cold drawn tube solution is mainly determined according to the chemical composition. Generally speaking, for brands with many types and high content of alloying elements, the solid solution temperature should be increased accordingly. Especially for steel with high content of manganese, molybdenum, nickel and silicon, the softening effect can only be achieved by increasing the solid solution temperature to completely dissolve it. However, for stable steel, such as high-precision cold-drawn tubes, when the solid solution temperature is high, the carbides of the stable elements are completely dissolved in the austenite, and in the subsequent cooling process, the austenite will form at the grain boundary as Cr23C6 form precipitation, leading to intergranular corrosion. In order to prevent the decomposition and solid solution of carbides (TIC and NBC) of stable elements, the cold drawn tube usually adopts the lower limit solid solution temperature.
