Stacking of cold drawn pipes

- Jun 19, 2023-

Reasonable stacking of cold drawn tubes, first in first out:

1. The principle of stacking cold-drawn pipes is to stack them according to varieties and specifications under the condition of stable stacking and ensuring safety. Materials of different varieties should be stacked separately to prevent confusion and mutual corrosion.

2. It is forbidden to store items that are corrosive to steel near the stacking location.

3. The bottom of the chimney should be raised, firm and flat to prevent the material from being damp or deformed.

4. Similar materials are stacked separately according to the order of warehousing, so as to facilitate the implementation of the first-in-first-out principle.

5. There must be wooden pads or stones under the section steel stacked in the open air. The stacking surface is slightly sloped for easy drainage. Pay attention to the straightness of material placement to prevent bending and deformation.

6. The stacking height of manual operation shall not exceed 1.2m, the stacking height of mechanical operation shall not exceed 1.5m, and the stacking width shall not exceed 2.5m.

7. There should be a certain passage between the chimneys. The inspection channel is generally 0.5m, and the access channel is generally 1.5~2.0m, depending on the size of the material and transport machinery.

8. The bottom of the chimney should be raised. If the warehouse is on a sunny concrete floor, it can be padded by 0.1m ; if it is a muddy floor, it must be padded by 0.2~0.5m . In the open field, 0.3 ~ 0.5m of cement floor pad , 0.5 ~ 0.7m of sand and mud surface pad .
