1. Fine processing of interface surface
Polish the rolled pipe joints to remove burrs, protrusions, and oxide layers to ensure a smooth contact surface. Use specialized tools to control the surface roughness of the joints and enhance the adhesion of the sealing material. Clean any remaining debris and oil from the joints to prevent impurities from affecting the tight fit of the sealing surfaces, laying the foundation for subsequent sealing operations.
2. Choose suitable sealing materials
Select sealing materials that are heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and elastic based on the working medium and environmental conditions of the rolled tube. Check the integrity of the material to avoid using seals that are cracked, aged, or deformed. Ensure that the hardness and compression of the sealing material match the interface requirements and can fully fill the gap under pressure.
3. Standardize sealing installation operations
When installing the sealing material, keep the interface dry and clean, and evenly fit the material in the sealing position to avoid wrinkles and deviations. Use the correct installation sequence to ensure that the seal is completely embedded in the interface groove or fitting surface without distortion. During the installation process, avoid scratching the sealing material with tools to prevent seal failure due to improper human operation.
4. Optimize interface matching accuracy
Control the dimensional tolerance of the rolled pipe interface to ensure uniform clearance between the male and female interfaces. Adjust the parallelism and coaxiality of the interface to avoid uneven sealing force due to misalignment. Check the interface fit through trial assembly and correct any poorly fitting areas to ensure full contact between the sealing surfaces.
5. Strengthen interface fastening measures
Use an appropriate fastening method to connect the interface to ensure that the fastening force is evenly distributed across the entire sealing surface. Adjust the degree of fastening according to the sealing requirements to ensure sufficient pre-tightening force while preventing damage to the seal or deformation of the interface caused by over-tightening. Regularly check the status of the fastening components to prevent loosening that affects the sealing performance.
6. Carry out seal inspection and maintenance
After installation, check the sealing effect through pressure testing and observe whether there are any signs of leakage in the interface. During use, regularly inspect the sealing parts to check whether the sealing materials are worn, aged or deformed. If a poor seal is found, replace the seal and reinstall it in time. If necessary, reprocess the interface to maintain long-term sealing reliability.
