The material of the honing pipe must be carefully inspected. The surface of the honing pipe must not have harmful defects such as wrinkles, cracks, scars, scribes, etc.; the size of the honing pipe should meet certain requirements, such as hot rolling. The tolerance of the outer diameter of the honing tube is about ±1-1.5%, and the thickness tolerance is about one (10-15)%, + (10-12.5)%; the curvature is generally not more than 1.5-2 mm/m; the end of the honing tube It should be straight and free of burrs; if the honing tube has burrs, it must be removed, which is especially important for cold rolled tubes. In addition, the chemical composition and mechanical properties of the honing pipe material should meet the specifications in the technical conditions.
Generally, the surface of the honing pipe material should be pickled first and then inspected. The slight defects of the honing tube can be repaired. Rehearing and honing the outer surface defects of the pipe can use a peeling lathe, a centerless grinder, a hand-held or hanging grinder.
Grinding of the inner surface defects of the honing pipe can be carried out on a grinding machine such as an internal cylindrical boring machine. Since the surface defects will continue to expand during the cold deformation process of the honing tube, and as the diameter of the honing tube decreases in the production of the honing tube, it is more difficult to grind the inner surface defects. Therefore, the surface defects of the honing tube should be exhausted. Possibly eliminate before cold working.
