High-precision tube---compared with that by traditional skiving and rolling, a hydraulic cylinder by cold-drawing is charactered as below,
1. High efficiency of production: by way of traditional processing, a 420mm inner- diametered, 12m long cylinder barrel takes even about 154 hours while it’s only about 4 minutes by way of cold-drawing;
2. High rate of finished product: compared with cold-drawing (a ratio of finished product up to about 95%), the traditional skiving and rolling causes high rejection rate (only a ratio of finished product up to about 60%) during processing due to deviation of travelling of the skiver and roller, which plays a roll of guiding itself, with the co-work of deflection by gravity the raw tube owns;
3. High utilization rate of metal: the rate by way of skiving and rolling for a cylinder barrel is only 50-70% while that by cold drawing (during which, rather than cut into fragment, it extends about 30%) can achieve a rate of 95%;
4. Reinforcing the metallic mechanical characters of a finished cylinder: by cold-drawing, with an plastic extension about 30%, the strength limit of a finished cylinder rises significantly obtained from work hardening. Generally, the strength limit of the interior layer of a finished cylinder can be reinforced by up to 60%. seamless hot rolled tube or linear welded tube as the raw material, the high-precision cold-drawn tube is processed with a mold designed complying to special deformation principles after chemical treatment.
