A chrome plated pipe has a hollow section when used, and its length is much larger than that of a steel having a diameter or a circumference. According to the cross-sectional shape, it is divided into round, square, rectangular and special-shaped steel pipes; it is divided into carbon structural steel pipe, low-alloy structural steel pipe, alloy steel pipe and composite steel pipe according to the material; it is divided into conveying pipeline and engineering structure according to the purpose. For thermal equipment, petrochemical industry, machinery manufacturing, geological drilling, steel pipes for high-pressure equipment, etc.; according to the production process, it is divided into seamless steel pipes and welded steel pipes, of which seamless steel pipes are divided into hot rolling and cold rolling (pulling). Two kinds of welded steel pipes are divided into straight seam welded steel pipes and spiral seam welded steel pipes.
Chrome-plated tubes are not only used to transport fluids and powdered solids, exchange heat, make mechanical parts and containers, but are also an economical steel. The use of steel pipes to manufacture building structure grids, pillars and mechanical supports can reduce weight and save 20-40% of metal, and can realize mechanized construction. The chrome-plated pipes can be divided into two major categories according to the production method: seamless steel pipes and seamed steel pipes, and the seamed steel pipes are referred to as straight-slit steel pipes.
1. Seamless steel pipes can be divided into: hot-rolled seamless pipes, cold-drawn pipes, precision steel pipes, hot-expanded pipes, cold-spinning pipes and extruded pipes according to the production method. The seamless steel pipe is made of high-quality carbon steel or alloy steel, and has hot rolling and cold rolling (drawing) points.
2. Welded steel pipes are divided into furnace welded pipes, electric welding (resistance welded) pipes and automatic arc welded pipes due to different welding processes. Due to the different welding forms, they are divided into straight welded pipes and spiral welded pipes, because their end shapes are divided. It is a round welded pipe and a special-shaped (square, flat, etc.) welded pipe.
